The VJH Physician Society recognizes the stellar contribution physicians, midwives, and nurse practitioners make daily to improve patient care and their work environment at VJH. The Physician, Midwife, or Nurse Practitioner of the Month event began in March 2021 aiming to introduce members of the medical staff to each other in a fun and collegial manner.
Nominators meet with their selected member to write a brief profile which is then published in the VJHPS newsletter, website, and posted on the wall, next to the physician’s mailroom at VJH. Then it’s the nominee’s turn to choose the next month’s candidate to keep the momentum going. It’s all in the spirit of getting to know your neighbor, so to speak.
