VJH MSA PickleDoc Tournament & Social Event
The Vernon MSA is introducing a new event in 2026, called PickleDOC. This first event in the 2026 series is on January 17th 2026, 4:30pm – 6:30pm at the Vernon Pickleball Sport Complex at Marshall Fields and MSA members can now sign up to participate in this mini tournament.
There is space for 32 contestants to compete in this event and players will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis, so make sure that you secure your space by signing up early.
We encourage all members of the MSA to come and support their friends and colleagues and join us for a pub dinner and prize-giving ceremony at The Kal, afterwards from 7:00pm to 10:00pm. To register for the pub night only, click here.
Costs:
Mini-tournament player fee: $40.00 each. Includes costs of rentals and prizes. Meal at The Kal Eatery MSA Pub Night & Tournament Awards not included.
| Tournament Rules: |
| 1. The basic Pickleball rules will apply. |
| 2. The first team to win 11 points, will win the match. Must win by 2 points. |
| 3. Players will be randomly assigned into 8 teams consisting of 4 players. The 8 teams will be assigned to 4 pools. |
| 4. Each player will play 3 games in the pool games. |
| 5. The team with the most points in each pool will advance to the 1 – 4 playoffs. The teams with the least amount points in the pool games will advance to the 5 – 8 playoffs. |
| 6. The playoff information will be shared a week before the event. |
| 7. You are allowed to have a lot of fun while competing! |
Scoring Pools Games:
BONUS POINTS
Win with a Pickle! (Other team did not manage to put points on the board) = 3 points
Win = 2 points
Lost by < 3 points = 1 point
Scores FOR and AGAINST is entered as well as BONUS POINTS. The differential is used to determine who wins the POOL GAMES.
